Just as the term “progressive” was used as a code word for “communist” by members of the Communist Party of America, in the late 1950s, the “climate denier” epithet has its roots in the “holocaust denier” epithet. The very term “climate change” is used as a code word for “global warming,” ever since global warming failed to gain any traction. It masks the fact that climate change includes glaciation and that, in fact, glaciation has existed for millions of years. No mention is made of the fact that we are living in Holocene interglacial period, which began 11,700 years ago, and, in 1970, geologists predicted the return of glaciation. The “global warming” is merely the Holocene, mispinterpreted as a runnaway warming that will lead to desertification of the planet. Of course, this cannot be driven by any increase in atmospheric CO2, as such an increase would lead to new growth of foliage. Plants take in CO2 and expel the oxygen all living things require to sustain life. The global warming activists are ignorant of basic science.
