Regulations imposed by the government result in higher costs than any benefits they produce, yet Congress continually gives its Constitutionally delegated power to make laws to the administrative state. Keeping his campaign promise, President Trump’s administration has slowed the growth of the regulatory state by cutting more regulations than it has added. Still, regulatory reform is necessary to make Congress accountable for the restrictions it allows regulatory agencies to impose on people’s lives.
