Mortality statistics in the United States and throughout the world show far more people die during the cold winter months than during the hot summer months. Also, mortality data show colder-than-ideal temperatures kill nearly 20 times more people globally than warmer-than-ideal temperatures – amounting to 4 million people each year dying from colder-than-ideal temperatures.
